Adults Count! A Survey on Youth and Adults with ASDs in Ontario

Adults Count! is a province-wide survey that will provide important information of the profiles and needs of youth and adults on the Autism Spectrum.

The survey will be available for completion until spring 2012. We hope to have a large number of people complete the survey to ensure the results are as comprehensive as possible, so please forward this email and the attached flyer to individuals who may be interested.

All surveys can be completed on-line unless a paper version is requested. The information gathered will be used to understand the needs of adults living with Autism Spectrum Disorders in Ontario. The survey can be completed by:

(1) An individual 16 years old or older who has been diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder by a professional; OR

(2) A family member (e.g., sibling, parent) who is knowledgeable about the needs of a specific individual, 16 years old or older, diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder; OR

(3) A professional (e.g., group home worker, Adult Protective Service Worker, therapist) who is knowledgeable about the needs of a specific individual, 16 years old or older, diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Alphabet Soup – A Fundraising Meal in a Bowl!

A fundraising meal in a bowl where you get to keep the “one of a kind” bowl! Come join us on Thursday November 3rd for this great event with proceeds from this Early Literacy Fundraiser being used to purchase books which are given free to children (o to 6 years) throughout Muskoka. For some children, this is the only book they own, or it is their first exciting encounter with a book.

Your purchase of a ticket includes a hand crafted bowl donated by artists and artisan stores, as well as a scrumptious, filling meal of soups from Crossroads Bar and Grill, Deerhurst Resort, and Tall Trees Restaurant. Appetizers, freshly baked breads and yummy desserts are also included!

Tickets are $50 and can only be purchased at Robinson’s Your Independent Grocer. Tax Receipts will be issued.

Thursday November 3rd, two seatings at 5:00 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. upstairs at Robinson’s Your Independent Grocer in Huntsville.
