On Wednesday May 9th, Widdifield’s student group “Free The Children” hosted an International Dinner with proceeds going to Hands The FamilyHelpNetwork.ca and our new Children’s Residential Treatment Centre! On Saturday May 5th Sturgeon Falls Hands’ office celebrated children’s mental health week with a BBQ and open house! The event was a tremendous success with over 300 people in attendance. Hands joined other Nipissing community mental health partners in a “beat the monday blues” wave at the Lakeshore Dr. overpass. Our dedicated crew took to the streets with signs and enthousiasm receiving many honks and waves in return.
