What's New at Hands

Dr. Ken Hawthorn’s Bracebridge Dental Care 2016 Smiles for Life Campaign to Benefit Hands

Posted on: April 12th, 2016

When local dental patients have their teeth whitened, they can smile a little brighter knowing that they are also bringing a smile to the face of a child in need. The 18th annual Smiles For Life Campaign has begun, which means dental patients nationwide can brighten a child’s future just by visiting local Crown Council Office of Dr. Ken Hawthorn. The campaign runs from now until June 30, and 100% of the proceeds from teeth whitening procedures done at Bracebridge Dental Care are contributed directly to Hands TheFamilyHelpNetwork.ca. As an additional incentive, each tooth whitening patient enjoys their smile brightening procedure at a discounted rate. Patients love the unique opportunity to improve the lives of families in our community while also enhancing their own smile.

Since its creation, the Crown Council’s Smiles For Life Campaign has raised over $36,000,000 for seriously ill, disabled and disadvantaged kids. That’s a staggering $2M a year average, all thanks to participation from local communities and dental practices. Smiles For Life hopes to continue this tremendous pace for donations this year. “Smiles For Life allows a person to help children in need by doing something that benefits them as well,” explains Greg Anderson, director of the Crown Council.  “The team at Bracebridge Dental Care donate their time and expertise, while Ultradent generously provides all Opalescence whitening products.  You receive a brighter smile, and, best of all, provide children with a brighter future.”

When communities work together they can help make a real difference in countless children’s lives. Anyone interested in donating directly without teeth whitening can do so by clicking here.  Participants can also refer friends to Bracebridge Dental Care by linking to the Smiles for Life site, making it easier than ever to give the gift of a new smile to friends and loved ones, while also giving hope to children in need.

All of the donations raised by Bracebridge Dental Care this year will be given to Hands TheFamilyHelpNetwork.ca, an accredited organization dedicated to improving the life experiences of families, children, youth, and developmentally challenged adults who need support and guidance.  Hands serves more than 9000 families across Parry Sound, Nipissing, Muskoka, North Bay and Northern Ontario.

Patients who would like to get involved should talk to Crown Council office Bracebridge Dental Care at www.bracebridgesmiles.com.
